This mobile application (Translation Technology) is created for a research project (Acquisition of translation technology skills through blended learning) which is funded by the Research Matching Grant Scheme (University Grants Committee, Hong Kong government).
This research project aims to examine learners’ perceptions and the effectiveness of translation technology training in a blended MOOC environment. In addition to four free online courses (MOOC via Udemy) and an open-access mobile application, face-to-face workshops and online seminars are organized to share industrial experts’ insights and to provide hands-on practice of translation technology tools.
This app aims to equip students with basic knowledge and skills in translation technology. It contains video lectures (both English and Mandarin versions), recordings of face-to-face workshops and online seminars, games as well as an online forum.
